So, I've been writing...

It’s not that I haven’t been writing lately… it’s that I have been writing A TON in a different format – one that is about 5x8 and you can hold in your hands!  I’m so excited to announce that after three years of trying to tell this story, The Forgotten Ones will officially be available THIS August!  It’s not just my story.  It’s a culmination of stories of those I met the last 29 years and how they impacted my life.  One person in particular who impacted my life beyond her imagination is Brindy.  Her story… her life paints a beautiful picture of how so many children feel forgotten when actually they are chosen to be a light into God’s redemption story.  It’s all about perspective.  They see themselves as outcasts – unwanted and unworthy pieces of society.  When in reality, a puzzle cannot be solved without every, single piece.  We need them, and they need us.  God uses us sometimes to help other pieces navigate to their spot…

Many kids like Brindy have built a wall around themselves in attempt to protect them from the trauma they have experienced.  That wall begins to suffocate their ability to move on in life and believe in themselves.  In order to get past their past, they need to work through the trauma in order to gain understanding to be able to overcome or use their past to make them stronger.

The Forgotten Ones takes you on the journey God has led me through, highlighting the last seven years in the Philippines.  There have been adventures, heartaches, tragedies and victories that have created the foundation of the future of Ellipsis International.  Our first Freedom Camp is July 21-30, and that’s just the beginning of bringing healing to neglected and orphaned kids around the world.  May they no longer feel forgotten.
